Bring your sailing reviews with you
If you have been reviewed on another crewing or logbook site, you do not have to start from nothing here. Add the link to your profile there and the reviews you were given, and a captain reading your profile sees them next to the reviews you earn on Global Crew Finder.
How it works
- Create a crew profile, which is free.
- In your profile, open Reviews and add your profile link from the other site. Choose the site from the list, or name it yourself.
- Add each review you were given: the rating if the site shows one, the text, who wrote it and when, and a screenshot of it on the other site.
We read the site from the address you paste, not from the name you type, so a link that is not on the site you chose is not accepted under that site's name.
Sites you can choose from
- Crewseekers
- Find a Crew
- Crewbay
- Ocean Crew Link
- SailTies
- Sailink
- Any other site, which you name yourself
Global Crew Finder is not connected to these sites, and a site on this list has not asked for or approved its place here.
What a captain sees
- Each imported review is labelled Imported, with the name of the site it came from and a link to your profile there.
- It is kept apart from the reviews written here, which can only come from a passage that took place on Global Crew Finder.
- The screenshot is there so a reader can compare it with the original.
What we do not do
- We do not check an imported review against the other site. It is what you added, and it is labelled that way.
- We do not promise that a captain will weigh an imported review as much as a review from a passage here.
- We do not take reviews from another site on your behalf. You add them yourself.
More on what we check and what we leave to you is on How we vet members and passages.
