Our mission
To make it easy for sailors to find each other, so more boats sail with a capable crew and more people get the chance to go to sea.
Finding crew has long depended on marina noticeboards, scattered online groups and word of mouth. Captains struggle to find reliable hands for a delivery or an ocean crossing, and people who want to sail rarely know where to look or whom to trust.
Global Crew Finder brings those passages and those people into one place, with the information both sides need to make a good decision before anyone steps aboard. Global Crew Finder is free to join and use today.

Browse passages by route, dates and experience needed, see the boat and any shared costs, and apply to the captain directly.
Captains find crew
Post a passage, or search crew profiles with a sailing CV, experience and availability, and invite the people who fit.
Both agree before sailing
Talk it through in private messages and set out expectations in a written crew agreement before anyone commits.
What we stand for
Transparency
Captains state any shared costs on the passage before you apply, and Global Crew Finder never handles money between captains and crew. You know what to expect before you say yes.
Safety at sea
Clear profiles, honest reviews and tools such as float plans help people judge who they sail with. Read how we check members.

Shaped by its members
Members suggest and vote on features on our public roadmap, and that shapes what we build next.
Trust and safety
ID verification is optional but recommended: members who verify show an ID verified badge and are listed first in applicant lists and crew search. You can also import reviews from other platforms, so your track record comes with you.
Blind reviews
Both sides review independently, and neither sees the other's review until both submit or 14 days pass. Crew are rated on reliability, seamanship and cleanliness; captains on communication, hospitality and boat accuracy.
Private reporting
Issues such as unsafe seamanship or conduct on board can be reported to us privately. Each report is categorised by type and severity, so patterns come to light that would otherwise stay hidden.
Our goal
We want Global Crew Finder to be the first place a sailor looks when they need crew or want to join a boat, anywhere in the world: reliable, simple to use and fair to both sides, and built in the open with the people who sail with it.
